UW-Madison Police Department Advisory Council

Committee Description

Comprised of various and diverse campus stakeholders, the UW Police Advisory Council acts in an advisory capacity to provide community input and feedback. The council reviews and discusses concerns voiced by students, faculty, and staff and provides input on programs, projects, and policies aimed at improving campus safety. The goal of this council is to address feedback from the community in order to foster understanding, communication, and transparency. Responsibilities include monthly meeting attendance; familiarity with UW-Madison and UWPD structure, mission, vision, and core values; commitment to constructive communication on myriad issues related to police services, campus safety, and community trust.
