Canvas - Planned SIS Upgrade Impacts (7/1 - 7/5)

UW-Madison will be performing an upgrade to the Student Information System (SIS). The SIS will be down Saturday, July 1st, at 5:00 PM through Wednesday, July 5th, at 10:00 PM (CT). Users, including students, will not be able to access SIS during this period, and systems that receive data from the SIS, like Canvas, will be affected.
During this SIS upgrade window, access to Canvas will not be affected, but the following processes in Canvas will be suspended:
- Changes to course rosters in Canvas, such as adds and drops, will not occur during the upgrade window. This applies to both student and instructor enrollments.
- Changes to Canvas courses, such as course additions or deletions and section additions or deletions, will not occur during the upgrade window.
