32nd session Student Council convenes for its last meeting

MADISON, Wis. — Student Council approved final pieces of legislation and shared memories in the last meeting of the 32nd session on Wednesday night.

Student Council first approved roughly 130 appointments to various Shared Governance committees for the 2026-27 academic year, including the UWPD Police Advisory Council, Recreation and Wellbeing Board, Protest Administrative Review Team (PART) and more.

Additionally, thousands of dollars were approved in Operations Grants for various different Registered Student Organizations.

Furthermore, bylaw changes for the Student Judiciary and the Graduate & Professional Committee were approved for the second time and are now official.

The meeting concluded with reports from leadership and mainly included memories and appreciative comments. Some Student Council representatives also similarly shared their reflections and thanks.

The first Student Council meeting of the 33rd session, with the new representatives, will be held on April 24 at 5:00 p.m. in the Student Activity Center Hearing Room on the fourth floor. The agenda for this meeting is available here
