Information regarding the SEP v.11 deployment in CALS Administration
Symantec Endpoint Protection Deployment
CALS Administrative Computing Services (ACS) is currently deploying Symantec Endpoint Protection v.11 as an antivirus/antispyware solution. This new product replaces Symantec AV version 10. All client computers part of the CALS Administrative Network (CALSNet) will have the new software installed.This new client will be installed on both PCs & Macs and managed through the central DoIT/OCIS (Office of Campus Information Security) management console by ACS staff.
NOTE: Each client will be scheduled for a weekly scan every Monday night starting at 8:00pm. Please leave your computer on but logged off and disconnected from Windows & other servers so that the scan can run on Monday nights. If the scan is missed, it will automatically start the next time you log into your computer.
Deployment Schedule
The new client is currently being deployed to all workstations and is expected to be completed by 11/30/10.Questions?
