UW-Madison Box - Using Box with FTP

This document refers to Box support articles with instructions on configuring FTP clients to upload and download data from your Box account.

FTP Options

UW-Madison Box accounts are eligible to use FTP, which is useful for the bulk migration of data.

The following articles contains general instructions on setting up an FTP client for use with Box:

Neither SFTP or FTPS supports Single Sign-On. You will need to setup an external password to use FTP. For more information, see Box support: Working with External Passwords.

Note: Un-encrypted FTP access to UW-Madison Box is not enabled. You must use an encrypted connection (SFTP or FTPS) to access your account.
