Procedure for taking leave for AAE staff.
- For leave that is a few days or more, please email Terri Wipperfurth ahead of time to inform her.
- Send an email out to taylorhall-staff@ with the dates you will be gone.
- Certain positions may want to use taylorhall@ (residents of Taylor Hall) or aae-all@ (all AAE-affiliated staff, grad students, faculty and emeriti), depending on length of leave.
- Put an Out-Of-Office message (also known as Automatic Replies) on your UW email account (Office 365). See [Link for document 52443 is unavailable at this time]
- Enter your leave onto the AAE Administrative Staff Office 365 Group. This can be done via Outlook on the Web, but is easier using Outlook 365:
- In Outlook, click on Calendars in the left folder pane
- Scroll down all the way in the left pane and find AAE Administrative Staff under All Group Calendars. Check the box next to it.
- Click on the tab in the calendars to select the AAE Administrative Staff calendar. Then select New Appointment from the toolbar.
- For the title, put <YOURNAME> Vacation
- For multiple days, be sure to check All Day
- In the Show As dropdown, be sure it's set to Busy or Out of Office
- Click Save & Close
- If you wish, you can leave the calendar on, and have it overlay your personal calendar by click on the Overlay arrow
- In Outlook, click on Calendars in the left folder pane
