Onspring Compliance Matrix Accessibility and Usability Information

This document summarizes the accessibility and usability barriers identified during testing, as well as how to get help.

Accessibility & usability barriers 

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.

Some keyboard navigation barriers may be difficult for people with vision or motor disabilities

In several instances the focus style, which shows the keyboard-navigating user where the navigation has moved to, is low contrast or invisible. Also, the focus indicator moves in an incorrect order in some situations. This is a barrier for users who navigate via keyboard.

Magnification and interface barriers may be difficult for people with low vision

The app does not re-flow when the page is magnified, making it difficult for users with low vision who need to increase magnification for readability.  While the screen is magnified, some sidebar content, including navigation, is missing, and content on the right of the page becomes completely inaccessible. Additionally, some elements of the page move in front of other elements.

Some screen reader barriers may be difficult for people with vision disabilities

Some content is missing auditory feedback which is necessary for users who are blind or have low vision and are using a screen reader or other assistive technology.  Content has missing and skipped heading levels which makes it difficult for users with visual disabilities to navigate via screen reader or other assistive technologies. Tables are used to format much of the content, which provides a very confusing, if not impossible reading experience for those using a screen reader. Additionally, through most of the app, alt text is either missing or given as “null,” which may cause confusion for those navigating via screen reader or other assistive devices. 

Color contrast barriers may be difficult for people with color blindness

Some content and a navigation item has low color contrast and may be difficult for some users to navigate and read if they have low vision or color blindness. 

Lack of labels on forms and buttons may be difficult for people with vision disabilities

The forms and buttons in the tool lack labels. Labels help screen reader users know how they should interact with an item in the application. The lack of labels may be difficult for some users to navigate, interact with and read if they have vision disabilities.
