Accessibility and usability barriers
The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.
Screen reader barriers may limit accessibility for some users, such as people who are blind or have low vision
There are a couple instances of state changes that are not announced and an unlabeled button. Some features lack appropriate context and description for a screen reader user. Additionally, the reading order is not always logical.
Keyboard navigation barriers may limit accessibility for some users, such as people with motor disabilities
There are a few instances where the scroll bar is not accessible by keyboard. Some windows and dialogs have Close buttons that receive focus, while other windows and dialogs require a user to use a keyboard shortcut to close them if they cannot use a mouse. Additionally, the focus order is not always logical, and there are times when the focus indicator disappears.
Low contrast may limit accessibility for some users, such as people who are color blind or have low vision
There is an instance of low color contrast for text in the Appearance tab within Settings.
Avoid using virtual backgrounds
Avoid using virtual backgrounds during a web conferencing event as the effects are visually less accessible to users. Virtual backgrounds can also cause increased CPU workload for the user running the background, which can disrupt their participation in the meeting.
