Student accessibility & usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist with the SOAR Reservation app.

People who are blind or have low vision may have difficulty navigating via screen reader

Some app pages are missing heading levels that screen reader users use to navigate page content.

People who navigate via keyboard may have difficulty

The “select session” function within the app is not keyboard accessible making it difficult for people who need to navigate via keyboard to complete session selection.

People who are colorblind or have low vision and are navigating via keyboard may have difficulty

The keyboard focus styling in the app makes it difficult for people who are blind or low vision and navigating via keyboard to clearly see where they have navigated to.

People who have low vision and magnify the screen for readability may have difficulty

The app does not reflow the page elements appropriately to allow readability between 175%-400% magnification.
