Accessibility and usability barriers
The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist within SharePoint.
Some keyboard navigation barriers may be difficult for people with vision or motor disabilities
Some functionality is not reachable via keyboard navigation, for example when selecting items within the Recycle Bin page.
Magnification and interface barriers may be difficult for people with low vision
Some pages do not reflow when the page is magnified to 200% or higher, making it difficult for users with low vision who need to increase magnification for readability. When magnified, users are forced to horizontally scroll (scroll left and right) to see all page content instead of reflowing appropriately to the user's viewport size.
Some screen reader barriers may be difficult for people with vision disabilities
Content has skipped heading levels, which makes it difficult for users with visual disabilities to navigate via a screen reader or other assistive technologies. For instance, the heading on the Documents page is listed as an h2, and the subhead is listed as an h1.
The number of items in a section of the Documents page is not announced correctly, which can confuse users who are blind or have low vision and navigate via screen reader or other assistive technology. Similarly, content is not included in all of the table cells in the Pages section, which is confusing for some users.
Additionally, screen reader users cannot access images while adding a news item from the Home page.
Color contrast barriers may be difficult for people with color blindness
Some focus indicators and buttons on the Documents page have low color contrast and may be difficult for some users to navigate and read if they have low vision or color blindness.
