Accessibility and usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist in the Cheese Thermization application.

Keyboard navigation barriers may limit accessibility for some users, such as people with motor disabilities

There is no visual indicator of keyboard focus for the Temperature slider.

Screen reader barriers may limit accessibility for some users, such as people who are blind or have low vision

Depending on the screen reader used and its navigation patterns, some users may not be able to use the Temperature slider. If using NVDA, it is difficult to change the currently selected temperature value unless the user turns on mouse tracking.

The webpage that contains the application has poor heading structure, and the website is missing page regions and the language attribute.

Magnification and reflow barriers may limit accessibility for some users, such as people who have low vision

At 200% page magnification or higher, portions of the app move outside of the viewport, which makes it difficult to use the Temperature slider in particular.

Low contrast may limit accessibility for some users, such as people who are colorblind or have low vision

There is one instance of low color contrast in the application.
