GDS - Print Management Setup
This document explains how to add the dds-printserver to the Print Management App.
Notes
- For clearing print queues, see GDS - Clear Print Queue.
- If you don't already have AD DS and AD LDS Tools, follow the steps here to install RSAT.
Procedure
- Open the 'Print Management' App by Running as Administrator with your OU account.
- When the Print Management window opens, right click on 'Print Servers', and select 'Add/Remove Servers...'
- The 'Add/Remove Servers' window will now be open. Under 'Add servers:' type 'dds-printserver.ad.wisc.edu', then select 'Add to List'. Select 'Apply', then 'OK'.
- You will now be able to see the list of printers that exist on the dds-printserver by expanding 'Print Servers' and 'dds-printserver.ad.wisc.edu', then selecting 'Printers'.
