GDS - Print Management Setup

This document explains how to add the dds-printserver to the Print Management App.

Notes

  • If you don't already have AD DS and AD LDS Tools, follow the steps here to install RSAT.

Procedure

  1. Open the 'Print Management' App by Running as Administrator with your OU account.

  2. When the Print Management window opens, right click on 'Print Servers', and select 'Add/Remove Servers...'

  3. The 'Add/Remove Servers' window will now be open. Under 'Add servers:' type 'dds-printserver.ad.wisc.edu', then select 'Add to List'. Select 'Apply', then 'OK'.

  4. You will now be able to see the list of printers that exist on the dds-printserver by expanding 'Print  Servers' and 'dds-printserver.ad.wisc.edu', then selecting 'Printers'.
