Help Desk LRAs - Identity Proofing within the DoIT Help Desk App
Accessing the app
Log in to the CIAM/Profile Salesforce production org at https://uwmadison2.my.salesforce.com using your NetID credentials.
Next to the grid in the top left corner, you should see the app name “DoIT Help Desk.” This is the application that houses the identity proofing process.

Updating an identity proofing record
- Click on the “Identity Proofing Number” link in the Incomplete Requests list view to open an identity proofing record.
NOTE: You can also search for records or access them from other list views. This is just one of many ways.
- In the “Credentials” section of the identity proofing record, you will see fields for:
- UW Affiliation Credential
- Government-Issued Credential
- Identity Proofing Level
- Credential Complete
- Completion Date
When you have taken all the steps of the identity proofing process (as it exists today, outside of Salesforce), please return to this section to update these fields. Select the documents provided from the drop downs, the level assigned, and check “Credential Complete” when you are certain that everything is done and you’re ready to give access. Completion Date will update automatically when you check “Credential Complete.”
NOTE: Checking this field is what adds a user to a batch load for provisioning in Manifest. Please only do this when you are certain that they are ready to be assigned identity proofing access.
Reading an identity proofing record
User section - Name, NetID, PVI - use these to verify you’re updating the correct record. Request date is automatically logged via the request process in Profile. Includes an optional field to record the incident number from Cherwell.
Credentials section - the fields you will need to update when you have completed all steps of identity proofing.
Identity proofing history section - automatically logs changes to the record
Identity proofing level path - for informative purposes only. This can be expanded to show the varying levels of credentialing and links to requirements for each level. IAL2 is set as the default level.
