New Program Implementation and Logistics Meeting
Departments may promote their programs as a part of implementation (UW System Administrative Policy 102, 2.4), which is only after approval from the final step of governance (ie: University Academic Planning Council, Board of Regents, Higher Learning Commission).
After governance approval, schools, colleges, or departments schedule an implementation meeting for a new or restructured academic program.
Implementation meetings gather people from all of the units that will take part in ensuring a new or restructured academic program runs smoothly. The implementation meeting is held after University Academic Planning Council (UAPC) and UW System Board of Regents approval (as applicable), and before students enroll in the program. These meetings typically follow the life cycle of a student from recruitment through graduation.
