Assignment of Central Data Request (CDR) Course Level
The UW System Central Data Request (CDR) requires a course level code be assigned to each course indicating the intended degree of complexity or expected level of comprehension of the course section. This course level is also part of the Credits Follow the Instructor (CFI) data system.
Central Data Request (CDR) course level will be assigned by Academic Planning and Institutional Research (APIR) at the time a course is approved. As course features change, this level assignment will be reevaluated and adjusted if necessary. Starting with courses approved in October 2015, APIR will assign the CDR course level at the time courses or course changes are implemented. The CDR level assignment is noted in the administrative section of the course proposal form.
