What Can Personnel with Read/Write Access Do?
Personnel with Read/Write access can make edits to the protocol and respond to revision notes (requests for protocol modifications). They can also create training snapshots, animal safety summaries, BBP summaries, and other reports. Personnel with read/write access can create a grant/personnel change, an amendment/renewal, or a new biosafety protocol. They can also re-submit the protocol to OBS after addressing OBS requests or IBC contingencies.

What Can Personnel with Read Access Do?
Personnel with Read access can see the protocol but they do not have any editing capability. How to Allow Someone Other Than the PI to Fill Out the Protocol
Another lab member can create a protocol on behalf of the PI. For protocols that have already been started, the individual must be listed as Read/Write in the Personnel section. Once the protocol is ready for submission, the PI must then complete the assurance statement and signature pages sections before the protocol can be submitted. Only the PI can complete the assurance and signature pages and submit the protocol.Still have questions? Call the Office of Biological Safety (OBS) at 608-263-2037 or email at biosafety@fpm.wisc.edu. We are happy to help.
