Bio-ARROW - Registered Protocols - Amend Protocol

Bio-ARROW help

The PI or read/write personnel can start an amendment.  Go to the protocol workspace for the protocol you wish to amend.  On the left side menu, you select Create Amendment/Renewal:

Create Amend

After selecting the button, you will be directed to the page below. Indicate if this submission is for an amendment or for the 3-yr renewal and provide a brief summary of what is being updated. Click “finish” when complete.

Amend

The system will then begin to make a copy of your protocol.  This may take several minutes depending on the system traffic.  Do NOT navigate away from the page until the process is completed.

When it is finished, the workspace for the amendment will open:

New Amend

The amendment will be assigned a working designation of “AM” in the protocol number (i.e. B00000036-AM001) until it is approved.  You may only have one amendment/renewal open at a time for a protocol.

If the amendment workspace does not automatically open, you can navigate to it on your ARROW My Home tab. The amendment can be found in your biosafety inbox.

To make changes to the protocol, select Edit Amendment:

Edit Amend

Please note: To modify the grant funding and personnel sections of your protocol, you must create a Grant/Personnel (GP) change.   You cannot edit personnel or funding sections with an Amendment/Renewal (AM).

Amendments are submitted in the same manner as a protocol  by selecting Submit Protocol to OBS button within the protocol workspace. Once the amendment is approved it will be saved as the full protocol and will return to its original protocol number (i.e. B00000036).
