Changing your GlobalProtect VPN Portal

How to change your VPN portal address

Click on the tray icon to open the GlobalProtect VPN Client:
 

Click on the three lines to open the menu. Click Settings to open the VPN client settings:

Click on the existing portal address, click Edit or on the pencil icon, then change the portal address to uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu Save, and then sign out of the VPN connection.

Open the GlobalProtect VPN client again and click on Connect. Enter your NetID and NetID password, then enter your MFA Duo code or press 1 for a Duo push to your mobile device.

macOS/OS X

Click on the GlobalProtect Globe icon in the top menu to open the GlobalProtect interface:

Open the Settings menu by clicking on the three lines and clicking on Settings. Then, click on the pencil icon to edit the existing portal address and change it to uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu. Click Save to save the changes, then sign in with your NetID username and password.

After clicking on Sign In you will be asked to press 1 for a Duo MFA push or enter your MFA Duo code. After that you will be connected to the VPN.
