MEDIA BULLETIN: WEEK OF APRIL 15

Special Notices:

  • Earth Week: The Sustainability Committee has worked with other campus organizations to plan Earth Week, a campus-wide series of events from April 15-22. The committee will be reducing food waste and distributing stainless steel straws at “Breakfast with Bucky” on Monday, painting pots and planting succulents at “Chalk the Block” on Wednesday and hosting a Campus Clothing Swap on Friday. See the attached graphic for a more detailed explanation of the events.

General:

  • Legislative Affairs Committee: will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. in the SAC Caucus Room for a state budget debate.

  • Grant Allocation Committee: will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the SAC Hearing Room for travel and event grant hearings.

  • Shared Governance Committee: will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the SAC Caucus Room to discuss the committee’s progress this session and how it can be improved next session.

  • Sustainability Committee: will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the SAC Caucus Room and will split up and ask State Street Restaurants to pledge to not distribute a single-use plastic for a week.

  • Student Activity Center Governing Board: will meet on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Room 4001 of the SAC to prepare the storage cage application for the fall semester.

  • Coordinating Council: will meet on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the SAC Caucus Room to go over transition materials, how to continue campaigns next session and provide feedback on Coordinating Council.

  • Student Services Finance Committee: will meet on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Activity Center Hearing Room.
