ASM Holds Final 28th Session Meeting
MADISON, WI — On Wednesday, the ASM Student Council approved Shared Governance appointments as well as a collection of internal administrative budgets and bylaw amendments.
Shared Governance Chair Reez Bailey introduced the 2022-23 Academic Year Shared Governance appointments, which named student representatives to over 55 committees that impact campus policies. A full list of ASM appointees is available here.
Student Services Finance Committee (SSFC) Chair Maxwell Laubenstein introduced internal administrative budgets for ASM Transportation, the General Student Services Fund, Operations Grants, Student Activity Center Governing Board, Student Judiciary, and SSFC. All budgets were approved.
Finally on Wednesday, ASM approved four bylaw updates for the second and final time. The new bylaw changes eliminated outdated boards and committees, modernized SSFC language, replaced the Campus Relations Committee with a Public Relations Board, and created a new section of the bylaws preparing ASM for admission to the University of Wisconsin System Student Governance Assembly (UWSSGA).
The 28th Session of the Associated Students of Madison ends on Saturday, April 23. The first Student Council meeting of the 29th Session will be on Sunday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the Hearing Room on the 4th Floor of the Student Activity Center at 333 East Campus Mall.
