Student Council continues to elect remaining leadership positions


MADISON, Wis. — The 33rd session of Student Council continued to fill leadership positions last Wednesday, in addition to filling committee seats and selecting meeting times.

During the open forum, representatives heard from participants discussing their candidacies for leadership positions along with endorsements and other reflections on past sessions and meetings. Votes were then conducted towards the end of the meeting.

The selected members of leadership during this meeting are as follows:

  • Vice Chair: Megan Mladucky
  • Secretary: Celeste Kronstedt
  • Press Office Director: Drew Wesson
  • Anti-Violence Chair: Jake Wesson
  • Diverse Engagement Chair: Raja Aryaan Humayn Sarfaz
  • Equity and Inclusion Chair: Victoria Gutierrez
  • Legislative Affairs Chair: Andrew Staff
  • Grant Allocation Committee Chair: Evan Loe
  • Shared Governance Campaign Director: Elise Hendrickson
  • Shared Governance Committee Chair: Alisha Latham
  • Student Activity Center Governing Board Chair: Noah Jankowski
  • Sustainability Campaign Co-Coordinators: Caitlyn Kenney and Aayana Roy
  • Sustainability Committee Chair: Matt Mokrzycki
  • Vote Coordinator: Emily Bolstad
  • Graduate and Professional Committee Co-Chairs: Elizabeth Anderson and Kaashvi Pruthi

Furthermore, representatives filled appointments for committees and discussed future meeting times. The council adopted a regular meeting time of 6:30 p.m. every other Wednesday.

Meeting minutes can be viewed here and remain subject to approval and revision.

The next meeting of Student Council, excluding summer meeting dates, will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Activity Center Hearing Room on the fourth floor. The agenda will be available here closer to the meeting date.

For the summer session, future meetings will be selected based on a poll.
