Now Available: Delete Gemini Chats and Create Temporary Gemini Chats

Google expanded access to delete Gemini chats and create temporary Gemini chats for Google Workspace for Education accounts.

UW-Madison Google Workspace accounts now have access to the following features directly within the Gemini interface:

Temporary Chats: You can now start conversations that will not be saved to your Gemini app history. This is ideal for quick, one-off questions or tasks where you do not need a permanent record of the interaction.
Conversation Deletion Control: You now have the ability to manually delete individual chats or clear your entire conversation history at any time, allowing you to easily declutter and manage your workspace.

Please note: Gemini conversations will continue to be saved by default for 36 months, unless deleted by the account holder.
