Botany File Server

General Information

The Department of Botany has a file server that provides basic file sharing to professors, staff, and labs in the department. The file servers uses the SMB/CIFS protocol to provide file sharing services. SMB/CIFS is supported natively on Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems.

Access from within Birge Hall

You can access the Botany file server from the wired Botany network or the wireless DoIT network in Birge Hall.

Access from outside Birge Hall

If you want to access the file server from outside of Birge Hall, you will first need to connect to WiscVPN. Once you have connected to WIscVPN, you can connect to the Botany file server as though you were on the Botany wired network.
