Department of Botany VPN
General Information
The Department of Botany maintains a VPN server for use by collaborators who need to access resources on the Botany network but do not have a NetID that allows them to use WiscVPN.
If you have a NetID, please use WiscVPN.
If you do not have a NetID, ask a current member of the department request access to the Botany VPN for you. Requests originating directly with outside collaborators will be ignored. Requests can be e-mailed to Botany IT.
Technical Requirements
The Botany VPN utilizes Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol over IPSec (L2TP/IPSec) which is supported by all major operating systems.
