To access Folder Insights you will need to be the owner or co-owner of a folder.

1. Log in to Box.
2. Click on the three dots called "More Options" on the folder you would like the Folder Insights run on.
   
3. Then click on Folder Insights. 
   
4. The Folder Insight page will then appear with the Folder Activity, Collaborators, and Shared Link information on display. 
   
   
5. Each section has a Download Report button which will download one of the following;
   
   Folder Activity for a range of days up to 90 days.
   
   
   Collaborators Report will show you who the collaborators are on that Folder as of the day the report is run. 
   
   Shared links will show you how many shared links there are as of the day the report is run. 
   
   
6. Once one of the download reports buttons is clicked it will ask where the report should be save. Select the folder then click save. Please note that you need to be the owner of the destination folder. 
   
   
7. Once the folder has been selected and the report run a message will appear with the following; 
   
8. When the report is ready it will appear in the folder. 
   

Folder Insights will show the following depending on the reports run; 

• Folder activity including
  • Date of the action
  • User who affected the folder
  • Action taken
  • Folder affected
• Collaborators will show;
  • Item Name 
  • Item Type 
  • Collaborator Name 
  • Collaborator Type 
  • Collaborator Permission
  • Inviter Email
  • Invited Date
• Shared links will show;
  • Item's name
  • Item type
  • Shared Link status
  • URL for the Shared Link
  • Permissions

The following are limitations with Folder Insights; 

• Folder activity can only go back 90 days. If you would like information prior to 90 days, please request a user activity report.
• Reports can only be downloaded to a folder that you own.
• Folder Insights can only be run on Folders that are internally shared/owned.
• Folder Insights can only be run on folders you are an owner or a co-owner of.
• Folder activity won't show if a file or folder has been deleted or moved
