Connecting Remotely to CAE Linux Machines from a web browser (FastX)

How to connect to a CAE Linux computer from any web browser

1. In a web browser, navigate to https://fastx.cae.wisc.edu

2.  Log in with your CAE Username and Password
FastX Login
3.  You will now be prompted to authorize using Duo.  Either enter a passcode from a token or the Duo App, or enter the number 1 to receive a push to the Duo App on your mobile Device
Duo Auth
4.  You will now see two options, XFCE or Terminal.  If you'd just like to use a terminal, select terminal, otherwise, if you'd like a GUI, select XFCE
