Guacamole Graphical Remote Access to CAE Linux Lab Systems

In a browser, go to https://guacamole.cae.wisc.edu. If you haven't already signed in to your NetID, enter your username and password and follow the MFA prompt if needed.

You'll then be presented with a login screen. Log in with your NetID and password.

You're now connected to a CAE linux lab machine and can run any programs as if you were in the lab. 

When you are finished, click the power icon in the upper right corner and log out.

Please note that some of the features described on that page are not enabled on our Guacamole install, such as remote file transfer or screen sharing.

Tips and tricks

Copy and pasting text from your local computer to the remote CAE computer can vary depending on your web browser. If you use Chrome, as long as you allow access to the clipboard, you can copy/paste freely.

If you are using Firefox, then press the Control-Alt-Shift keys at the same time. There's a text box on the left that can be used to send/receive data from the remote computer's clipboard.
