You can now download AutoCAD and other Autodesk products from the Autodesk website. This will allow you to use more features and tools that would otherwise be unavailable through tethered software.

Installing AutoCad and other AutoDesk Products

1. Visit this page: https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview?sorting=featured&page=1
2. Click on "Get Started" for the software you wish to download.
3. Once you have selected your desired software, you will have to sign into your AutoDesk account if you already have one, or create one if you do not
   
4. Once you are signed in, simply click "Get Started" again on the software desired and "Install" to download.
