A summary of the various account permissions

This is a brief summary of the various rights and permissions associated with CAE accounts.  Not all permissions are available to all accounts or all account types.  For more information, please contact the CAE Helpdesk.

 Linux Shell Access  Has shell access on CAE linux computers
 Web Editing  May edit virtual hosts (vhosts)
 Tethered Software  May authenticate to use tethered software
 O365 @cae.wisc.edu Alternate Email Address  Has an @cae.wisc.edu email address that was migrated to Office 365
 Windows Active Directory Login  May log in to the ENGR domain (CAE lab computers and other services)
 Authenticate to Web Server  May access web services that require CAE authentication
 SFTP Access  May use SFTP to access files
 Use Crontab Service  May use crontab
 CAE Source Access Control  May access svn.cae.wisc.edu
 Filespace Home Directory  Has a home directory on the CAE File Server
 CAE Windows Lab Login  May log on to Windows lab computers
 Windows General Resources  May use Windows resources
 Windows Engineering Software  May use Engineering software on CAE Windows computers
 CAE Linux Lab Login  May log on to Linux lab computers
 CAE Unix Engr Apps  May use Engineering software on CAE Linux computers
 In LDAP  Listed in the LDAP directory
 Can't Use web password reset page  May not reset the account password using the web tool
 CAE VPN  May use Engineering VPN
 CAE VPN Software License  May use Engineering_Licensing VPN
 CAE VPN Restricted  May use Engineering VPN for collaborators
 Can Create Websites  May create virtual hosts (vhosts)
 MySQL Database Creation  May create MySQL databases
