Onboarding Checklist for New CALS Administration Staff
New CALS Administration staff receive an IT orientation on their first day. An IT staff member will assist with the following items:
- Sign into the Computer
- Set first.last@wisc.edu as the default email at https://email.wisc.edu/admin
- Go to https://my.wisc.edu
- Adjust "Preferred Name" with the Personal Information widget
- Demonstrate how to add addition widgets
- Sign into O365
- Sign into Adobe Creative Cloud
- Sign into Zoom
- Sign into Webex
- Sign into Teams
- Sign into Box
- If desired, install and configure Google Drive
- Setup preferred browser
- Confirm Adobe is set to the .pdf extention
- Configure printers
- Provide an introduction to CALS IT
- How to submit tickets and requests
- Discuss the team and campus IT structures
- Discuss https://kb.wisc.edu/cals and other self help resources
- Discuss the file server structure
- Discuss the use of VPN
