Setup and Calling instructions

Setting up the Conference Phone

Three components of the conference phone need to be connected.  Two components are optional.   Refer to picture below:
  1. Display Control Unit (DCU) – this is connected to the base via a USB connection
  2. Power adaptor
  3. Ethernet (network) cable
  4. External microphone X2 (Optional) --
  • Intended for room 20’x30’ – Use these in Ag Hall Room 250 if the entire room is being used.  Connection wires are placed in the grooves on the bottom of the base.
  • Not needed in Ag Hall Room 240G or a small group in Ag Hall Room 250
  • Microphones and base should be at least 4’ from each other
Note:  Allow the conference phone 3 to 5 minutes to boot up after connecting all cables


Conference Calls

Before you can add a party to the conference, you must be on an active call and not on hold.
  1. Press More> to scroll through the options
  2. Press Conf
  3. Enter the phone number for the party you want to add
  4. After the new party answers, press Conf
  5. (Optional) Repeat these steps until all participants are added.  You can have up to 30 participants on the call.

View conference participants

  1. Press More> to scroll through the options
  2. Press ConfList to view a list of the participants.  It will only list 16 of the participants.

Remove conference participants

  1. While in a conference, press Move, ConfList to view a list of participants
  2. Highlight the participant that you want to remove and then press Remove.
