CALS Grade Appeals

This document provides information for student's seeking to appeal a course grade.

According to faculty policy and in an effort to maintain both equity and consistency, students have the right to appeal a grade if they believe that their grade is either incorrect or inequitable when compared to the standard grading policy in the syllabus for all students taking the same course.

CALS students seeking to appeal a grade should follow the CALS student grievance procedure. The first step in this process is to talk with your instructor for the course.

General information about grading can be found on the Office of the Registrar's website.

If you have any questions, please meet with the Dean on Call or contact CALS Academic Affairs at academicaffairs@cals.wisc.edu or 608-262-3003.
