Instructions for installing & accessing Cypress Report Distribution System

Cypress Installation

Before you can use the campus Cypress Report Distribution System for the first time, you must install the web client.    This will require you to have Internet Explorer with ActiveX enabled in addition to having Administrative rights to your computer.    Please check with your local IT staff before attempting an installation.   For CALSNet customers in CALS Administration, please submit a service request for software installation using the Installation > Software form at:

Cypress Access

NOTE:  To access Cypress from off-campus, you must first establish a WiscVPN session.
  1. Once you have the Cypress web client installed, you can access to Cypress at:
  2. On that page, click the Cypress Client button:

  1. You'll then see a page to launch the Cypress-ASG full client.   Click on the Full Client button:

  1. At this point you may or may not see the login screen.  
If you do not see the login screen,
    • Click on Find Docuvault (Binocular Button).
    • Key the Cypress host name '' in the Find Docuvault box.
    • Click on 'Ok'.
    • The Cypress login screen should then be displayed.
If you see the login screen at this point, supply the following credentials:
Cypress Login

    • NT Domain:  Cypress
    • User Name:   {this is typically your 3-char ID from DoIT}
    • Password:   {temporary password supplied by OHR or CALS HR-Payroll}
If you have any problems with the installation or login process, you may contact the DoIT Help Desk (264-4357).   CALS Administration staff can contact ACS directly.
