The University of Wisconsin-Madison Badger Talks is deeply rooted in the Wisconsin Idea - a commitment to extend the resources of the university to citizens of the state. It works with communities throughout Wisconsin, bringing faculty and staff with expertise in a variety of disciplines. 

Professional, community, civic organizations, as well as schools, are invited to request a UW-Madison speaker by completing the online form here: Engagements with speakers must be requested at least one month in advance.

Speakers are provided free of charge as a public service. The hosting organizations is responsible for costs and arrangements for room setup and audiovisual equipment, and must designate a contact person who will work with the Badger Talks on event logistics.

  • Speakers must be employed by UW-Madison
  • Groups requesting a speaker must be from outside UW-Madison
