Disabled Parking

UW Transportation Services has maintained several parking stalls in Lot 1 for individuals with UW Disabled Plates (UW DIS).  These are special permits for UW students and employees with DOT disabled permits.

Other visitors with disabilities can park in the Helen C. White parking ramp.  The State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) disabled permits or DIS and VET DIS plates may park in disabled stalls (unless signs indicate UW disabled permits are required) and meters (30 minutes or greater) without paying an additional fee.

Even if Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) spaces are available, if the ramp is full, there is no way for someone with appropriate credentials to enter the ramp.  Please contact Transportation Services for additional suggestions in these situations.

Park for FREE at meters on N. Lake and Langdon Streets after 6pm and all day Sunday!
