How to print a PowerPoint poster
Printer settings to print a powerpoint slide as a poster
- Open your poster in PowerPoint.
- Get the dimensions:
- Select the printer:
- Set the printer properties:
- Print:
Click the Design tab and open the Slide Size drop down at the right end. Clicking Custom size will open a small dialog with slide size. Remember the dimensions.

Click File -> Print or press control + p to open the print dialog. Choose CBE-poster-printer from the printer list.

Click Printer Properties to open the properties dialog. You must at least set a custom paper size, and may also need to set the correct paper type if you are not using the default paper. On the Page Setup tab, change the Page Size from Letter to Custom Size. A small dialog will open. Put the smaller dimension of your poster in Width and the larger in Height.

By default the printer will scale your poster to match the width of the paper roll. If you specifically need a smaller size you can un-check Enlarged/Reduced Printing and check Fit Paper Size.

When you click print the poster will be sent to the print server and held until you release it.
