2. GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
The Dean of the School of Human Ecology (SoHE) has final decision-making authority for the CDL. The Executive Director reports to the Dean of the SoHE and is responsible for bridging the research and teaching missions with the high-quality early care and education program mission. The CDL Director has general oversight responsibilities for the early education program operations and supervises all teachers. The CDL Associate Director is responsible for specific administrative duties and reports to the Director. The Teaching and Research Coordinator reports to the Executive Director. Student assistants report to the Associate Director and their supervising teacher and interns report to the Associate Director and supervising teacher. The CDL Parent and Family Advisory Committee advises the Dean. The Child Development Lab has a Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO).
