Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

CERCLE FAQs

What is CERCLE and when is it launching?

CERCLE (CERC Learner Enrollment) is the new Salesforce-based noncredit registration system replacing Momentus, officially launched on July 1, 2025. We anticipate a full cutover to CERCLE by the end of December 2025.

When does our Momentus access end?

Momentus access and usage ends on 12.31.2025. We strongly encourage all clients to download any reports needed out of Momentus before the end of the year. At this point:

  • All events in Momentus will conclude by the end of December 2025.
  • By year-end, all events and courses with open registration will have either been migrated to or built in CERCLE.
  • Future events will be built in CERCLE.

How can I access reports and rosters for my department's events?

Clients will have access to Tableau, the reporting platform for CERCLE that will replace Momentus. To start, you will be able to see data from your events and courses that are in CERCLE. Eventually, your reports will also include data from past events in Momentus. As we migrate all of our Momentus data to CERCLE platforms, it will take some time before all event data is accessible in Tableau and could result in a brief reporting outage for past events in Momentus. However, we expect that you will be able to report all-time data for your courses and events by the end of February 2026 at the very latest. Thank you for your patience!

  • Note that roster reports are your best source to confirm registrants for future events, as CERCLE is not configured at this time to copy program staff on registration confirmation emails.

What can I expect for our department’s courses and events that will finish in Momentus?

Courses and events with an event end date before the end of December 2025 will finish in Momentus and will not migrate to CERCLE. You can expect “business as usual” for any courses and events that finish in Momentus, including registration experience, reporting, certificates of completion, and more.

When will my department’s courses and events move to CERCLE?

Any courses or events that end before the end of December 2025 will stay and finish out in Momentus. Post-event reporting, financial reconciliation, and generating any certificates of completion will be facilitated in Momentus, as expected.

Courses and events that will end on or after December 1, 2025 and whose registration opens between July and November, will likely be migrated from Momentus to CERCLE. A CERC team member will contact you before any course is built or migrated into CERCLE.

What determines when a course will be built in CERCLE?

Courses are moved to and/or built in CERCLE depending on a variety and combination of different factors such as start and end dates, when registration opens/closes, complexity of set-up, number of enrollments, and available system functionality that meets the set-up needs. These factors are carefully reviewed daily with each request the CERC team receives.

What is a CERCLE Account?

Each CERC client (department, center, or funding source) will have a CERCLE Account that has a direct relationship to their Workday revenue funding. Clients with multiple Workday driver worktags will have multiple CERCLE accounts.

How can I stay informed about CERCLE updates?

  • Visit this CERC Client Guide often! We will update the KB regularly through the remainder of the project and going forward.
  • Subscribe to the CERC Updates group - and share with your colleagues! CERC will also increase communication frequency before and after our Momentus contract ends.

  • You can also reach out to the CERC team anytime at registration@cerc.wisc.edu. All CERC team members have access to this email, and you can expect a prompt response.
