Client Engagement - NetID for Non-UW Affiliate
Step 1: Attempt NetID recovery
If any of the non-UW Affiliates think they may have a NetID from previous work at UW, have them try to recover their NetID before requesting a new one to avoid duplicate identities.

Step 2: Client emails OHR
Instruct the client to email OHR with the request below, making sure to CC all appropriate contacts.
Replace placeholders like [UW SERVICE NAME] and format for clarity.
Step 3: Confirm OHR response
Once the client sends the request to OHR, each collaborator should receive an email response within 24 hours:

NetID Activation: https://mynetid.wisc.edu/activate
Please allow the system to refresh overnight before activating NetID.
