467 Boom Pole Wiring

Boom poles used in 467 have internal wiring - XLR cables from the microphone and to the mixer are attached at the top and bottom of the pole, respectively.

Set Up Instructions

  • Screw the microphone to the top of the boom pole.
    • The pole lock closest to the microphone removes the tip of the pole, if desired. 
  • Connect the XLR cables.
    • Com Arts 467: Connect the microphone to the cable at the top of the boom pole. Connect an XLR cable at the bottom of the boom pole, and run this cable to the MM1.
    • Com Arts 659: Connect an XLR cable directly to the microphone. Run the cord down the boom pole, using bongo-ties to keep the cord in place (remember to give yourself enough slack to extend the pole if need be). Connect the other end of this cable to the MM1.
  • Adjust the length of the boom pole by turning the knuckles - right to loosen, left to tighten (see below).
