Setting up a stand

1. Stand orientation
• The stand is packed inside out inside its bag
• You will need to flip the legs out and around the joint in order to begin setting up the stand
2. Create a wide base
• Widen the legs to provide a stable foundation for the light fixture
• Lock off each leg
3. Extend the fixture support pole to desired height
• Lock off each segment when done

Setting up a stand (cont’d)

1. Attach fixture to silver mounting head
• Note: the locking bolt on the fixture must screw into the valley of mounting head (between the end ridges)
• Do not tighten locking bolt unless it is in this position (see green arrow)
2. Lock fixture to mounting head
• Note: the Dracast logo should be upside-down at this stage

Preparing the fixture

1. Once the fixture is locked to the mounting head, rotate it so that the text on the front and back of the fixture is right-side-up
• Lock the two blue knobs on either side of the fixture when light is at desired angle/position
• Connect power supply
• Note: red light will indicate a working power adapter

Powering on the fixture

1. Attach DC power supply to silver port on back of fixture
2. Power the fixture on
• Note: flip the power switch down to use the DC power supply
• Adjust intensity and color temperature as desired (more on this in following slides)

Adjusting light intensity

1. Turn dial labeled “INTENSITY” clockwise for brighter light
2. Turn the dial counterclockwise for dimmer light
• 100% P for brightest light
• 10% P for dimmest light
• Note: the green light indicates which unit the meter is reading out (00K for color temp, % P for intensity)
• Note: dimmer light does NOT equal softer light

Adjusting color temperature

1. Turn dial labeled “CCT” clockwise for more daylight balanced light
2. Turn the dial counterclockwise for more tungsten balanced light
• 3200K for completely tungsten-balanced light
• 5600K for completely daylight-balanced light
• Note: the green light indicates which unit the meter is reading out (00K for color temp, % P for intensity)

Repacking the Dracast LED500 kit

1. Please make sure to pack the light kit exactly how it was upon checkout (see photo)
• Especially important to note is the position/orientation of the light inside its case
2. The fixture must be returned to its upside-down position (see Dracast logo) in relation to its blue frame in order to fit back in the case
