How to Book IMC Equipment
Instruction for Booking IMC Equipment Using Connect2
Logging into Connect2
- Go to IMC/Connect2 home page: imc.commarts.wisc.edu, and you will see the following:
- Sign in to your account (Log in portal)
- Open hours (IMC contact info)
- Contact us (IMC hours)
- Click on "Sign in to your account" on the IMC/Connect2 home page
- Sign in by selecting "Sign in with your UW NetID" in the blue rectangle box
- After signing in, four options will be displayed on the top of the page
- "Messages" - ex. overdue equipment
- "Active Bookings" - ex. displays items currently booked
- "Items Checked Out" - ex. displays items currently checked out
- "Alerts" - ex. late items
- Start booking
- Click on the "Book by Category" tab on the top of the page
- Choose either "Equipment" or "Editing Suites" for your desired need
- Select equipment/resources
- Search the name of the equipment needed in the search bar (top left corner) or click on the category it resides under
- List of Equipment Names/Search Keywords

- Once you find what you need, add to "Basket"
- The "Basket" button provides a list of items in the basket → items can be deleted if you accidentally make a mistake by clicking the "Basket" button and selecting "Remove" next to the item you wish to remove
- Double check basket
- Once all items are added to the basket, double check the basket list is correct
- Select "Create Booking"
- Select check out and return times
- Select the date and time you wish to pick up and return your equipment
- Reminder: you can only have items out for one day (unless you pick up on a Friday)
- Once you have finalized your booking time, click "Next"
- Emergency contact info
- Please fill out your emergency number in case we need to get in contact with you or there is a mistake on your order
- Agreeing to terms & conditions
- Next, you will be reminded that this checkout falls under our equipment use and borrowing agreement
- You must check the box to indicate that you agree to the terms and conditions
- Triple check and submit booking
- On the final page you are about to check out, along with other information about the duration of the checkout, click "Submit" to finalize booking after checking everything is correct
- Stop at IMC around your check out time to pick up the equipment
- Reminder: your reservation will be cancelled after an hour later than the scheduled reservation time
- Please let us know if anything malfunctions or damages during a shoot
- If you have any trouble with any part of the booking process, never be afraid to ask at the desk for assistance.
