Adobe Connect - Version Upgrade May 7, 2011

The Adobe Connect Support Team is pleased to announce that our hosted Adobe Connect account will be upgraded to the version 8 service pack 1 of Adobe Connect on May 7, 2011.

In addition to the upgrade to Adobe Connect 8 Service Pack 1, we will also have our address changed to wisc.adobeconnect.com.  

All existing URLs for meetings, content, and training that have already been created and distributed will be permanently forwarded to the new URL and function as they did before the update.    Existing meetings and content should transition automatically to the new system, with the possible exception of any third-party extensions.  If you have questions about possible third-party extension please email connect-admin@lists.wisc.edu d

Upgrade to Adobe Connect 8

The Adobe Connect 8 Migration Center can help you effectively plan and maximize the benefits of this upgrade with more information and by testing with a preview account.

  • We recommend that you sign up for a preview account to get familiar with the new meeting experience and features in advance of your upgrade.
  • If you use extensions created by third parties, please contact them to find out when the extensions will be updated for use with Adobe Connect 8.

If your department limits your ability to add or modify software on your computer we also recommend that you contact your local IT support to have them add the new Adobe Connect Add-in available for Windows click here and for Mac click here users or Adobe Flash® Player 10.1 or more recent version.
