Computer Sciences - Human Resources - Report Leave Time Taken or No Leave Taken

Employee is to key into the online HRS leave of absence system leave time taken or no leave taken.
Each month the employee is to key his/her/their leave time into the HRS leave of absence system before the 5th of the following month that just ended.

Annual Academic Staff, 9-month Academic Staff, and Faculty
All UW Academic Staff Employees use Employee Self-Service (ESS) feature to report leave time taken; for you, this will simply be reporting Sick Leave or No Leave Taken.  You will now be entering this information through MyUW Portal (https://my.wisc.edu/web/expanded), and you will no longer need to complete the hard copy yellow leave report.
Starting with September 2019 (9M) pay period (8/19/2019 start for Academic-Year Appointments) leave time taken should be entered through MyUW Portal.  Each month, you will need to enter your prior month's leave time taken no later than the 5th day of the month (i.e., leave time taken for September 2019 should be entered no later than 10/05/19).  Please note that you do not have to wait until the end of the month to enter leave time taken; you  may enter it as you take it throughout the month.
Attached, please find a user guide with step-by-step instructions on how to submit your leave time taken.  Please note this important section:  If the employee has not taken any leave during a given month, the employee must submit the absence request that says "No Leave Taken (UNC)".  If this is NOT entered, your monthly leave report will be considered missing.
It is important to note that this is not a process for requesting time off.  You should continue to follow your current procedures for requesting time off through the Department Chair.
If you have questions on this process, please contact hiring@cs.wisc.edu.
