The Assistant Director for Inclusive Teaching (ADIT) will support the University’s efforts to educate all of its students by leading programs and providing direct consultation in inclusive teaching to faculty and graduate student teachers.

Assistant Director, Inclusive Teaching 

The Assistant Director for Inclusive Teaching (ADIT) will support the University’s efforts to educate all of its students by leading programs and providing direct consultation in inclusive teaching to faculty and graduate student teachers. Reporting to the Director of the Chicago Center for Teaching and the Vice Provost for Academic Leadership, Advancement, and Diversity, the position collaborates extensively with staff members in both offices, as well as with colleagues in other offices on campus that seek to advance diversity and inclusion. The ADIT will carry forth existing efforts, and will also help develop new programs to advance inclusive teaching and professional development of faculty, lecturers, graduate students, and postdocs at UChicago.

 We seek candidates with extensive knowledge of the current research literature on inclusive teaching in higher education, with a history of successful college-level teaching experience, and experience advancing teaching and learning in higher education.
