Setting up a Globus account with s3.drive.wisc.edu

This article describes the process for setting up a netID with Globus for accessing the datavault archival storage at s3.drive.wisc.edu

  1. Either be invited to the wisc-s3drive group on Globus, or click this link and join: wisc-s3drive
  2. Sign into Globus and go to the s3.drive.wisc.edu collection here: s3.drive.wisc.edu
  3. Click Credentials, then Continue
  4. Select your Identity, then hit allow to give the Globus web app the permissions it needs
  5. Next, click Add Credential
  6. Add the IAM key and secret for the 'both' account saved in the datavault archive 1Password vault.
  7. Go back to the s3.drive.wisc.edu globus endpoint, and then click Open in File Manager
  8. If it says 'Auth/Consent are required', then hit continue and choose your identity and hit Allow
