Doodle - Unable to change theme for branded account

While using Doodle, you may encounter an error when attempting to change themes. Themes are not supported within the branded UW-Madison Doodle instance.

The Division of Information Technology has licensed Doodle, an online scheduling service to supplement Office 365 calendaring, for use by the campus community.

The DoIT Help Desk provides best effort support for Doodle only. This includes requests for adding additional * domains to the Doodle account. For other help with Doodle, please see the Doodle Help and Support page, or use their Contact Form for further assistance.

UW-Madison Doodle can accessed at For information on creating an account in UW-Madison Doodle, please see Doodle - Create and log in to your UW-Madison Doodle Account.

It initially appears possible to change the theme in Doodle. If you go to Manage Account and click on Change Theme, you appear to be able to change the theme. However, there are three problems with this:

  1. You may notice that the UW-Madison logo has disappeared from the upper left and the rest of the theme settings appear to have defaulted back to the defaults for Doodle's publicly available site.

  2. If you make changes to these settings and attempt to click Save, you will receive an error "Your settings have been saved but are currently inactive since you are not a Premium User."

  3. The settings on the Changer Settings page will appear to have been saved, but when you attempt to view any other page in the UW-Madison instance of Doodle, the default theme will return.

Unfortunately, changing themes is not supported in the UW-Madison branded version of Doodle. At this time, any changes to the theme that you make in your account will not be applied.
