WCER Application Delivery Service (ADS) - Overview
Description of the remote application delivery service hosted by the School of Education for use by SoE Faculty, Staff, and Students.
Effective June 1, 2015, MERIT partnered with the Wisconsin Center for Educational Research to provide the Application Delivery Service (WCER ADS) as a replacement for SoE membership in SSCC. The primary reason for the School of Education leaving SSCC is financial. The service has been wildly popular in the School and SSCC is an excellent organization. A careful review of usage growth and budget reductions in comparison to the cost and technical feasibility of providing a similar service within the School led to the departure from SSCC.
ADS provides secure, remote access to a variety of statistical, productivity, and design software that is either available in the Campus Software Library or software that was purchased by SoE. The service is available to any faculty, staff, and students with active memberships in the School of Education.
This service is available via any web browser on either Windows or MacOS systems. If you are using a wireless connection or you are off campus, you will need to run the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client before connecting to ADS.
MERIT and WCER technology staff are available to assist SoE faculty, staff, and students with logging into the service and related troubleshooting. SSCC continues to offer Statistical Consulting Services for an hourly fee, see their website for more information.
Login at: apps.wceruw.org using your existing SoE account credentials.
Connect to the ADS server using Cisco AnyConnect VPN software and your favorite web browser.
Network drive mappings to your personal, departmental, and/or project space are automatically available.
Your P drive is relabeled as U drive.

As of June 1, 2015, all SoE users with active SSCC accounts (accounts used since September 1, 2015) were migrated to ADS.
