I am getting an extra space after a URL link. How can I get rid of it?
Extra space gremlins...GRRR....how do I get rid of them? I've tried everything.
We think it may happen when text is copied from an outside source and pasted into Eloqua. If copying content from Microsoft Word or websites, that can bring in extra/hidden code from the external source. In fact, when we examine the html code of a test email with the space issue, we are seeing there is indeed a space there in the code.
So that said, we would strongly suggest pasting only plain text copy into Eloqua as pasting from rich text/Word can bring in hidden characters that exist in html and then are inadvertently rendered in your email. I use TextEdit on my Mac, but PC users have options like Notepad ++ or others. Paste your text into one of those and convert to plain text from rich text or .rtf. Then copy/paste into Eloqua.
OR, just select the text you've already got in Eloqua that's causing the problem, delete it and hand-type the link in, add the hyperlink again, and this should work.
