Reserving a Room via EMS

Information on how to make a generic room reservation in EMS. To reserve a room within EMS please do the following:
Login with your campus NetID if necessary.
Click on the "Create A Reservation" Link to see the available options:
Select the Reservation Template that meets your needs (List of available templates may vary from the screen shot). Click on the "book now" for the template of your choice.  Click on "about" to see more details about the the available spaces and booking rules for that template.
Clicking "book now" will bring up the Room Request form.  Enter the date and time for your event and any other available options - including the number of people attending.  This will allow the correct size room to be located.
Now click on the Search button to have the system locate a room that matches your criteria. This will bring up a list of rooms that meet your specified filters.  There are two views here: the default is a schedule view, showing when the room is available and when it's booked.  The tabs under "Room Search Results" allow you to switch to a list view
To add a room that is open to your request, click on the "+" icon:
         
Confirm the number of people attending the meeting and setup type, if requested:
Next, if there is a "Services" tab, click that to add and remove desired services:
Next, click on the "Reservation Details" tab:
Now enter in all the details about your event. Any field with a "*" is a required field and must be entered.  Different spaces will have specific questions relating to your event.  When done, click "Create Reservation" to submit the request:
You may see a confirmation box stating the request has been submitted:
You can review your requests by clicking on the "My Events" link. Your event will be "pending" until it is approved. While it is in the pending status, your event will not show up on the room schedule.
